A Youth Empower Program

Through creative writing, storytelling, and expressive arts, we help youth ages 8-18 build confidence, awareness, and leadership.

About the Nastassia Starr Anderson Foundation

The Nastassia Starr Anderson Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2024 in Los Angeles, California. We are a youth empowerment organization dedicated to helping young people ages 8–18 discover their voice through creative writing, storytelling, and expressive arts.

Guided by our belief that Every Starr Has a Story — We Help Write It, the foundation creates safe, supportive spaces where youth build confidence, awareness, and leadership through reading, writing, journaling, and spoken word. Our programs are designed to meet young people where they are, encourage self-expression, and support personal growth, academic engagement, and positive identity development.

Founded in honor of Starr—a writer and passionate advocate for youth voice—the foundation continues her legacy by uplifting young people and empowering them to share their stories with confidence and purpose.

Why We Exist

Too many young people lack access to creative, arts-based opportunities and safe spaces where their voices are valued. Many struggle to express themselves or feel unseen.

Founded in honor of Starr—a writer and passionate advocate for youth voice—the Nastassia Starr Anderson Foundation exists to change that by empowering young people to discover, develop, and share their stories.

The Nastassia Starr Anderson Foundation

Empowering youth to find their voice through creative expression.

The Nastassia Starr Anderson Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2024 in Los Angeles, California. We empower youth through creative writing, storytelling, and expressive arts—helping young people build confidence, awareness, and a strong sense of identity.

Guided by our belief that Every Starr Has a Story — and we help write it, we create safe, supportive spaces where youth are encouraged to express themselves, be heard, and grow.

The Inspiration Behind Our Foundation

Starr was more than a name—she was a bright light with a bold voice and an unforgettable presence. A gifted writer and poetic soul, Starr used words to heal, inspire, and spark change. Her creativity extended across many forms of expression, including acting, music, comedy, and performance.

More than her talents, it was Starr’s heart that defined her. She was a passionate advocate for youth, especially those who felt unseen or unheard. Starr believed every young person had something valuable to say, and she made it her mission to make space for their voices.

Our Mission

We exist to honor Starr’s legacy by empowering youth through creative writing and expressive arts. Our programs help young people discover their talents, build confidence, and boldly tell their stories—on the page, on the stage, and in their lives.

We don’t just teach creative skills.
We nurture confidence.
We celebrate individuality.
And we help youth step into their purpose.

How We Make an Impact

Through workshops, mentorship, and community-based programs, we use creative expression as a tool for:

  • Building communication and leadership skills

  • Encouraging self-expression and awareness

  • Supporting emotional growth and confidence

  • Creating safe, inclusive spaces for youth

Many young people lack access to arts-based enrichment and opportunities to express themselves. Our programs meet youth where they are and give them the tools to grow.
